The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK (FSEM) is proud to announce its commissioning by the World Health Organization (WHO) to develop an initial suite of resources aimed at supporting healthcare practitioners worldwide in embedding physical activity into clinical care pathways.
This important initiative forms part of a broader WHO project focused on integrating physical activity as a core component of preventative and therapeutic healthcare. The resources will be designed to empower clinicians and support teams throughout the world with practical tools and guidance, enabling them to promote physical activity as a vital sign of health in everyday practice.
The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both parties to improving health outcomes through movement and lifestyle medicine. Equipping healthcare professionals with the right knowledge and tools will help shift the global healthcare landscape towards more proactive, prevention-focused care.
The FSEM’s contribution will include evidence-based materials tailored for diverse healthcare settings, ensuring accessibility and relevance across different regions and populations. These will be based on the information contained within the Moving Medicine resources.
